Overview. As of December 2024, new-build Delco/GM A6 compressors are out of production. The S6 is a direct replacement used by both OEMs and in aftermarket applications. It has an aluminum body and is lighter and more efficient than the the A6 it replaces. Single belt groove and dual belt groove clutch pulleys are available.

Product FAQs

Is this a direct replacement for my A6?

Yes. It bolts on in place of the A6, with no adapters needed.

Does it come with oil?

Yes, 220cc of PAG 46.

Are any adapters needed to use it?

Generally it is bolt-on. Occasionally spacers are needed for the rear in some Mercedes applications. This is not a consistent issue, however. Contact us if you have any issues.

Does it include a superheat switch?

No. If you need a superheat switch, we offer it separately.
