Overview. Corrosion and debris clog the TXV, starving the compressor of oil. That’s why a new TXV is required for our compressor warranty. A malfunctioning TXV can cause erratic pressure readings and poor system performance.

All W126, diesel and gasoline, use the 2.0-ton valve, as do all W123 turbodiesels. For W123, always verify against your VIN before ordering.

Which valve do I need?

All W126 use the 2.0-ton valve. For W123, compare your VIN with the table; all turbo W123s use the 2.0-ton valve.

Why replace the TXV with a new compressor?

A clogged TXV starves the compressor of oil, and a new TXV is required for warranty.
