This is a common failure part which can lead to vacuum leaks and malfunctioning of the automatic climate control system. An array of 5 or 6 of these valves (depending on model of vehicle) are located behind the pushbutton control unit on your dashboard. The originals clog, leak, or fail from ingestion of dust and moisture over time. Electrical failure of the coils is also common.
 
As parts availability is becoming a bigger issue, we offer you a source for these valves to meet your restoration needs. Note that while our valve looks different from the original in appearance, it fits up properly to the vacuum lines and electrical connector in your vehicle. We also include a spare retainer screw, as it is easy to lose the originals while changing out these valves.
 
If you’re not planning on removing the center console to change this part, we recommend attaching the mounting screw to your screwdriver with tape to avoid dropping it!
